Most hair products in the market today contain many chemicals. While the majority of these chemicals are tested and certified safe, they might not be safe for kids. Obviously, children at their tender ages cannot be compared to adults. They are still developing, so they sensitive to many things. To ensure that your child is not exposed to harm, you should always go the natural way. Opting for natural kids hair care regimen will improve the overall health of a child. Below are some tips to help you achieve this.

For first time mothers, developing a regimen might scare them. On the contrary, it is one of the simplest processes. The only thing that you should actually do is to develop a routine and stick to it. It might involve setting up some time, but this is what you need to do to keep hairs of the kid healthy.

Every natural regimen often start with three main ingredients: cleansing, caring, and conditioning. While working on your routine, you should ask yourself questions guided by these steps. For instance, how often should you clean the locks of your child, and how are you going to do it. The same apply to conditioning and caring.

Once you have outlined how you are going to implement your routine, it is time to implement it. Since there is no universally accepted way on how your routine should look like, you might have to go through trial and error at some point. At the end, you will have what will work for you.

To many adults, cleansing is a less frequent activity; usually once a month. For children, however, cleansing should be a weekly affair. After you are through with cleansing, you should follow with conditioning before caring. You can use regular conditioner interchangeably with deep conditioning. The next step is styling and detangling. Detangling should be also weekly affair in the initial stages then less frequent as you progress. Usually, detangling is the most difficult step, and it is also discomforting to the child.

Sometimes, you may encounter some challenges as you execute the above activities. The major problem is the length of hair. If their locks grow faster, you will have a problem working on it. To keep the problem under control, you should reduce the frequency of detangling. For instance, if you were doing it on a weekly basis, you can do it once or twice a month. A less popular and most disliked option is to reduce the length.

Another challenge is damaged split end, hairballs or strands. Normally, this occurs as due to detangling. Trimming is a viable option to mitigate such a challenge. You can let a professional to do the trimming or you can do it yourself. The right size to trim is half an inch.

If you can follow the above tips keenly, then you should experience challenges that many mothers face with regard to working on the regimen. The best way to make the above process even more meaningful is to use the time you spent with your daughter to interact and bond. You also have the opportunity to play, learn, teach and experiment
