Guides In Creating Unique Promotional Gifts

By Brian Phillips

Companies are using promotional gifts in order to promote themselves as well as their services and products. These would help in communicating to them what your brand is for while making it much more memorable. These are normally given during trade shows and conventions or even outside at sidewalks where a lot of people are passing by.

The usual items being given for these purposes are mugs, tote bags or pens with your brand written on it. But there are others that give unique promotional gifts that stands out from the others and have a longer lasting impression. Here are some tips in making one for your company that you could hand out in the next opportunity.

Create something that will not fit inside an envelope and is more at home inside boxes or packages. This would build anticipation for these people you have given it to and will be excited in opening it soon. They will have no idea on what is inside as well making a surprising element in the process.

To make the item stick in their memory better, have them do something to it upon receipt. One of the examples of these is made by a company for dental hygiene where the ice cream they gave away were place on a stick that is shaped the same as a toothbrush to remind them to always brush their teeth after the food is eaten. These items inclining actions to be taken by the receiver is better.

Make it relevant with your business so it will be easy for them to connect it with your products and services. These can be things that are telling a related story of your company which means something to the business. The benefits will also be shown when your business is being patronized by them.

Avoid making it look cheap or generic even though you have to make sure that the gifts are not expensive to produce. Be creative in making them look classy to have a good impression on them. And there are those that are not allowed to accept expensive gifts because of the nature of their work so there is that as well.

Do not forget to include your brand logo in the items to remind them on who they came from. This must be placed in a prominent area but make sure that it does not destroy the aesthetic of the object. Making your logo as big as the object will make it very visible to the people but it will give them an idea that you are pushing your name too hard.

Choose an item which will last unlike flowers and food which will just wither or is required to be immediately eaten. This will help them remember you even after all the years since the time you gave it to them. Making them display it proudly in their house is a great thing or making them use it every now and then.

Make sure they will be able to feel the effort you have put in crafting these things. Having a unique concept where it was never done before or only few ones did is a great way to leave an impact to customers. This is also a fun thing to do for your team where their creativity is exercised.
