Tactics For Successful Mobile Billboard Advertising

By Jerry West

In the world of business today, entrepreneurs are coming up with diverse and creative methods for marketing their products and selling their brands to the outside world and this have seen others taking to mobile billboard advertising whereby they use trucks that have been outwardly displayed with their companies information for the outside world to see and familiarize with them.

The effectiveness of this promotion panel can be disputed upon but it would not be right to deny the larger advantages it has over other forms of advertising, it is estimated that 97% of people are more likely to remember an promotion that they saw on a billboard truck compared to the 58% who will remember that which they saw on televisions, smartphones and online.

Since this trucks will finally need to settle at a certain destination, they are very prone to facing lawsuits from business owners for blocking their properties as not everyone who appreciates having to compete for space in their own businesses and also fines for parking illegally. In worse cases, they can even be towed away for failure to adhere to the set rules.

This is not a form of promotion that you can turn off or click a button to turn away from, in short, if it is there it is there and one will finally find they are looking at it. Unlike online adverts that one can scroll over or block, it is close to impossible to ignore a truck standing right in front of you, especially one with a well-crafted outward appearance for the sole purpose of turning heads.

Another reasonable tactic would be to study your area well before deciding to set up a position for your publicity. This will help in avoiding unnecessary collision with the competition and posing territorial conflict which may lead to an unhealthy competition. The goal is not to hide from the competition but to use wiser methods of confronting them without hurting your own business.

A big setback is that it can be hard to get feedback from your clients main reason being that of visibility. It can prove to be quite hard to pass information that has been written on a moving bus and on top of it there are two or more things on it. It is there for wise to use less information as much as possible and avoid any form of jargon that may leave the reader confused or unsure.

When dealing with complex products that may need more digging into, this is not the best tool as one can only offer a limited amount of information. At times a client will need to have a product completely decoded which is a right they are entitled to, mobile billboards cannot afford to do this as then most of the information will be missed by the reader.

The bottom line is one should take full advantage of mobile billboards as they have proven effective to a lot of people, it is a method that reaches a wide audience while still capturing your target audience. However, lucks differ and when starting one should take it slow.
