Most companies usually have yearly incentives and bonuses that are derived from individual and team performance. However, as good as monetary encouragement might be for most employees, some usually also would like to be motivated verbally. Money is good but words of inspiration often do most of the work to some workers. Seeing that the staff usually wants different methods of reinforcement, it is better to do all the preferred approaches.

Any successful leader will attest to how being forceful will amount to nothing but bad results in a team. If you want to force your staff to do something they are not comfortable to do or aren t trained to do, poor results are bound to materialize. Don t be a manager that nobody wants to work with.

If you want your employees to well in their job, you have to invest in them. An investment that has the potential to bring forth good fruit is not an investment that should be wasted and put to no use. Suggesting training programs for employees is another way of communicating and showing your workers that you value their academic career.
